Hazelnut Mocha Blended Coffee
9
Today is National Coffee Day! I thought I’d post another blended coffee recipe in honor of such an exciting day. Also, if you are like me and prefer Almond Milk in your coffee then today is your lucky day! Starbucks now has almond milk permanently at all their stores!Again, this is a very easy recipe. I’ve posted several recipes before like Turtle and Mocha. This one is my current favorite since all I have in the house right now is Hazelnut syrup. It is absolutely delicious though. If you need an afternoon pick me up this is definitely the drink you’ve been looking for.[amd-yrecipe-recipe:237]
I’ve been wanting to try baking with more espresso powder and coffee since people seem to love it so much. But since I’m not really much of a coffee drinker I never know if it tastes right before I go to serve it. These though are the perfect blend of espresso, chocolate and hazelnut buttercream that really melts in your mouth. This cupcake recipe is my go-to chocolate cake recipe. It is light, fluffy and oh so delicious! When combined with some espresso powder it adds just the perfect amount of coffee flavoring to the cupcakes. The hazelnut buttercream on top is the best part about these cupcakes in my opinion. I hadn’t ever really had something with hazelnut in it that I was a fan of before this frosting. But this is one of my favorite frostings I’ve made to date. I highly suggest that you make these cupcakes just for this frosting.[amd-yrecipe-recipe:208]Source: Cake adapted from Kiss my Bundt- Chrysta Wilson
I accidentally made this flavor combination of cupcakes when I combined some extra hazelnut frosting I had and some extra plain chocolate cupcakes. I not really the biggest fan of hazelnut, but these cupcakes are to die for! I only made a couple of these but I’m planning on remaking these again soon, maybe with a couple of changes to make them even more special. I’ll certainly post another recipe in the future if I make exciting changes to this recipe. The base for these cupcakes is just my normal
