About

Hi! I’m Stacie - I am a freelance Stage Manager and Director providing organized, reliable leadership for semi-professional and professional theatre productions.

Based in the Twin Cities, I have stage managed and directed 40+ productions across Minnesota and Iowa, working in semi-professional, professional, community, and educational theatre environments. I am experienced in fast-paced rehearsal processes, complex technical rehearsals, and maintaining consistency across full production runs.

Stage management is the core of my professional practice. I bring strong skills in rehearsal planning, prompt book creation, cue tracking, and interdepartmental communication. I am comfortable serving as the central point of coordination between directors, designers, technicians, and performers, ensuring that information is clear, timely, and actionable throughout the process.

My background includes work as a Technical Director and Producer for large multi-site religious organizations, where I managed production crews, coordinated technical logistics across multiple venues, and supported large-scale weekly productions. This experience informs my practical, solutions-focused approach to production challenges and my ability to anticipate technical needs before they become problems.

In addition to production work, I have experience as a Teaching Artist with organizations such as Blue Water Theatre, Lyric Arts, Youth Performance Company, Character Kids, and Locally Grown Theatre. This experience has strengthened my ability to communicate clearly, set expectations, and maintain structured, respectful rehearsal environments. While my current freelance focus is on semi-professional and professional productions, my teaching work continues to inform a collaborative, organized approach that supports both process and performance.

As a collaborator, I prioritize professionalism, clear communication, and consistency. My goal is to support the artistic team by creating a well-run process that allows designers, performers, and directors to do their best work.

Outside of theatre, I run a Sourdough Micro-Bakery and freelance video editing business and enjoy spending time with my husband and our pets.
