Aster & Bay: A Review
Aster & Bay was one of the first green beauty companies I found. I was searching for a Rosewater Mist and absolutely fell in love with theirs. I also picked up their Vinegar Hair Rinse, and their Hibiscus and Beet Root Lip and Cheek Stain. There were products I liked better than others and some I’ve already repurchased! The Rosewater Mist is one of my favorite products. I originally purchased the travel size and once I went through it I absolutely had to repurchase the full size. All of the ingredients are very clean. This mist is a great way to refresh your face and makeup in the middle of the day. Supposedly you can also use it in your hair to give it texture. I haven’t found that it works well in my hair, other than to give it a pleasant scent. I have received so many compliments on the “perfume” I’m wearing when I have this on.I have mixed feelings on the Vinegar Hair Rinse. It has a very odd smell (it is made with vinegar after all) and it mostly washes out of my hair. However, I do occasionally still have a slight vinegar scent to my hair after washing. I also find I can’t use this product too regularly on my hair otherwise it seems dry. I probably won’t repurchase this once I get through the bottle I already have.Personally I didn’t much care for the Hibiscus and Beetroot Lip Stain. I found it way too thin to actually do much for my lips and it was way too light to use as a stain on my cheeks. I gave this to my sister and she seemed to love it. I also found it to have a funny taste that I didn’t much care for. However, the packaging was lovely. It came in a heavy glass jar with a black lid. Sadly, I realized I had given this product away before photographing itThere are several other products I look forward to trying from Aster and Bay in the future. I had an excellent experience ordering from them and would do it again in the future.
